NP 241/NV4500 input shaft help

Experts please chime in-

I'm putting a NV4500 in which I havent got yet. I am also going with a NP241.

I found a 241 wit 27 spline input. Does the NV4500 come with a 27 and 32(?) spline?

I like the $100 asking price on the T case, but dont want to end up with a mis-matched shaft with the 4500.

Thanks

the GM nv4500 is exclusively 32 spline. you will need to either buy a 32 spline tcase, or swap in a 32 spline input into that cheap 241.

Actually, after some further online research, it appears there are 27 and 32 spline 241s. The 350s/700s used the 27 spline. The 400s/and all 5 speeds used the 32 spline.

New 32 spline shafts average $150. Once again it appears I'm better off to keep searching for the right one to begin with.

Patience is not my best virtue.lol

a passenger drop 32 spline mechanical speedometer np241 is pretty damn hard to find. its 1989 3/4 ton burb and manual trans k5s. you might be better off learning how to rebuild a 241 and swap a $150 input in it.
