Old Gas??

What's the best way to clean that old funky gas outta the carb and tank, it 's been sitting awhile and it reeks!!!

I tried that, but it just keeps mess'n the carb up...Had it apart a few times already!

Drain the tank,there should be a drain on your carb too. If not loosen the bowl on it.

Run some SeaFoam ( $10.00/can) through it once you clean it out.

take the carb off and clean it out real good/ rebuild it. then take the tank out and clean it with a 1/4 mix of muratic acid and water, here is the thread on how to do it :http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=430030

then, put the tank back in, and put five gallons of premium in it, and put a bottle over the fuel line where the carb would hook up to. turn the truck on but not over(this will cause your pump to run, and clean out the lines). then change all the filters out, and hook the carb back up and your good to go. this is what i did to my truck so i know it works, just make sure you get all the water out of the tank.

x2 it will smoke like crazy but works fine
