Question Trim: Adhesive vs. Clip/screw

I have the option of getting two type of mounting kits for the trim on my '70 K5. The first is the standard clip on and screw type mounting set, and the second is the adhesive type mounting set. The adhesive is $15 cheaper. I'm restoring this blazer, so it's not going to be seeing any insane offroading, just occasional forest service roads. I think most cars today come with the standard screw/clip on, but what are the pros and cons of each, and what would you get?

We used about half of each on my truck when we put it back together. When I get around to redoing it again this summer... I will go the extra mile and replace all the adhesive clips with the bolt/clip on ones... They definately snug the fit of the trim to the body... while the adhesive ones... leave a gap between the trim and the body... they adhesive ones seem to make the trim... seem loose. Half my trim is NOS so I definately will go with the original clips... Bad side to the original... possible rust holes where they clip in... but good side if protected ... I would recommend the bolt on... you won't regret it. TREVOR

I used 3m's trim adhesive tape on all my trim.
Sticky stuff.
Here's some pic's.

Here I havn't taken off the red backing.

Closeup of the tape.

The trim is still holding strong 8 months later.

I did. Been on over 3 years, no problems. One other good thing about adhesive, it doesn't rattle!

With the 3-M stuff, how far away from the body does the trim sit? It looks pretty thin in the pics, but wasn't sure.

Cool.
Where do you get it? I guess any auto paint supply, but what about autorice, or o'rileys?
I'm tired of the trim rattle on my truck.

yea,I've seen it at Walmart and various parts stores.

My Dad used to work for 3M so I am able to go to the company store and buy over produced runs of various 3m products VERY cheap.
That roll only cost me $18.00. I think a 6ft roll costs close to $5-$8 bucks in a store.

That roll is about 30ft.
