rear ends
o.k. I did a search for rear disc brakes read every single post, and no one had seemed to of answered or thought of this question. how long of a rear end is needed for our trucks? I have a 71 c20. found an explorer 8.8 rear end on ebay, this is with disc brakes for 400 plus 100 for shipping. this is the link:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...473855618&rd=1 anyone know if this would fit? and also what size of rear end should I be looking for?

If you can find a 79 Lincoln Versailles you'll get a nice Ford 9 inch rear with disk brakes, slightly narrower than a truck rear (will make your truck look tubbed with the correct wheel offset and width)

alright, just for future refrence for fellow truck lovers, the 71 and newer 2wd rear ends had a measurment of 62". that was according to this website:
http://50chevy.freeservers.com/Suspension_Widths.html I hope that in the future this can help others. the site also gives out demensions of other vehicle rear ends
