alternator help
Battery keeps dieing(sp). Mechanic told me problem could be my voltage regulator keeping contact and draining it since he couldn't find a short anywhere. He said if I went with a single wire alternator that this would do away with the external regulator on the rad. support and take care of it. Does this sound right, and if so, how do I hook one of these one wire deals up? What about the old regulator? Etc......any help is greatly appreciated.

Very simple swap. Bolt the alt on. Take the battery wire and hook it up. Then take a smaller red wire and loop it from the Bat. post to number 2 terminal. The original wiring in the charging harness has a brown wire. Extend this wire and hook it to the number 1 terminal. Discard or disconnect everything else.
