broke my rearend
I was driving today and my rear end started making noises so i coasted home and took a check at the oil level and found nothing in the diff so i took the cover off and a tooth fell at me. now what should I do buy a used carrier and crown pinion assembly or get a new one what do you guys think? also the tooth was from the pinion

I ould find out what ratio you had and if you wante dto change it now is the time. I would buy a new one imo

When it come's to gear's I would buy new one's and give yourself a little piece on mind..

New ones are great, they'll last foever if set up properly, but they are pretty expensive.
Used ones are a gamble...but you can get them for a song. |

Whatever you buy, it will not be cheap to have them set up if you can't do it yourself. It cost me $250 to have a 12 bolt for my Malibu set up, and I brought the rear and all the parts to the business.
