1972 '16.5' Factory steel rims
Is there any true value to having these rims for our trucks? I have a set on my 72 and obviously tires are sorta expensive and difficult to locate when on road...What is the thoughts here towards the 16.5's?

Unless you are doing a councourse bone stock restoration, the added expense of tires is not worth your time to retain the 16.5s. I know where I can get you another set though.

16.5's
Yupp, when I bought my Longhorn, it still had the original 16.5's on her with the bias ply tires still intact... It also came with an additional set of 5 in the bed. In the shows, are points taken away for not having these? Im not TOO picky when it comes to having the 16"'ers....

I ditched my 16.5s quite a while ago...I see no reason onless doing a 100% restoration.
Although, the budder tires are easier to find in 16.5's I'm told |

I am not to sure what the price of them usually go. I bought my set with tires that had about 50-75 tread on them from my neighbor for 100 bucks. thought that was a pretty good deal. I didnt even realize that was the size of wheels that were suppose to be on there originally, intell I joined the message boards. when I bought the tires I paid like 675 or something like that for. they were the best ones I could find. really not that expensive. I went to the tire shop for a set on my tacoma, yeah, the set that I would think are equivalent to the ones on the chev are around 800, talk about expensive tires now!
