Found one today in the wrecking yard out of a 78 van $50.00

I guess now I have to take it apart and shorten it. Any help on exactly what to do? How about a manual trans collar? or are you guys grinding the nub off for the auto handle.

Here you go. Lots of great info on here. And I do remember one board member grinding the nub off and filling it in.
