Well, turns out stock 5.7 rods with arp bolts WILL hit the cam on a 388 stroker So now I need a small base circle cam. Heres the specs on the one Im having UD harold custom grind at lunati

Quote:
Lunati 01-UF80-UF77-10-A01. This cam is 267/271 at .020, 239/243 at .050, .510/.520 gross valve lift, .494/.504 net valve lift, and 110 LSA, in at 106 ICL. At .200 this cam is 150/154. Valve lash is .016"/.016"
O yeah So glad I was able to use that comp 280H magnum for all of about 2 minutes of break in time. Hope I can get a little out of it on ebay......

You didn't check for clearance issues when you put it all together? You should have been able to trim a little off of the rod bolts to get the clearance you needed.

Im putting it together right now, thats how I know it dosen't fit And while yes I can grind the bolts, that will throw the balance job off. Im not sacraficing anything with this engine.
