Knobs And Ignition Switch

HOW DO I REMOVE THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH KNOB? (BLACK PART)
I HAVE THE TRIM RING LOOSE AND THE NUT LOOSE
DOES IT PULL OFF?
ALSO
I LOOSENED THE IGN SWITCH RING AND IT SPUN BUT IT DOES NOT SPIN OFF
I WANT TO REMOVE THE SWITCH ASSY FROM THE DASH
THE ELEC PLUG IS REMOVED FROM THE REAR OF THE SWITCH

The headlight knob is removed by pushing a button on the top of the switch. Reach up under the dash and on top of the switch assembly there is a little button. Push that down and the knob will pull right out. Remember your lights will stay on. To put it back in, just push the knob in, you don't have to push the button.

As for the ignition switch, I don't know.

on the light switch reach up behind dash to the switch you will feel a little button on top of the switch push it down while pulling the knob out and it should pop out.cant help on the ign i tore the last 2 up that i tried

when i pulled my ignition i had the same problem. find a paper clip. turn the key to acc and put the paperclip into the little hole next to the key hole. you will feel it push a button in. hold the paperclip in the hole with a little pressure then turn the key to the left. the barrel assy should come out. then you can remove the rest of the ignition. hope this helps

The headlight knob and stem are one piece, and it's usually a good idea to unhook the battery.

NOT SMASHED TO LITTLE ITTY BITS
NOW IF SOME ONE CAN TELL ME HOW TO GET THE LIGHTER SOCKET OUT OF THE DASH IT WILL BE A CLEAN SWEEP

just unscrew it from behind the dash, "unplug" the 2 connectors first,, jeff
