Maybe, says they won't fit automatic transmission though.

Yeah, I'm wondering if maybe that only applies to those early trucks he is talking about (the mid 50s trucks)

I sent the guy an email, so we'll see what he has to say...

Says their designed to fit 55-59 trucks, so theres a huge difference between a 59 and an 80.

When did they start making the modern 5.7 350?

Why not just buy some new ones? Mine are Summit and they only cost $79. At least going that way you know they would fit.

Russell, the exhaust manifold mounting would be the same from a '59 V8 (probably a 283) and a 350. The real difference is the position of the frame, sheet metal, and accessories.

For instance, the '60s era trucks used a hydraulic clutch instead of a Z-bar, so the headers for them wouldn't fit my '71.
