shipping company recommendations..??

needing to ship a pair of bucket seats cross country.... can someone suggest which shippers are the cheapest...???

I know greyhound is an option, but I'm wondering if someone like Yellow Freight would be reasonable...

What have you used...???

thanks...

Vinnie, I got the best price recently from FedEx Ground. They were cheaper than Post Office, Greyhound and UPS. The freight companies are always higher except on really heavy items...too big for anything except a forklift or pallet jack. I shipped 75+ lbs on FedEx Ground from Seattle to PA for about $40-$50 as I recall. It took about 5 days. Good Luck!

airborne express has a ground service and they are the only people that can beat fedexground prices. www.airborne.com

you set up an account with them online, and they will send you an invoice. they will even come pick it up from you or somewhere else.

I ship them Fedex Ground but now that I have read this post I will check with Airborne to double check. I shipped two really heavy bucket seats (heavier and bigger than our truck buckets) to NY from TX for $35.00 apiece via FedEx Ground. Will be interesting to price the same packages through Airborne to see what the difference is.
