Shamrock,

My book on chevy pickups says that they just changed the hood in '58. I'm pretty sure that it will swap.

Are you swapping a 58-59 hood in or out? They are pretty wild! Almost as wild as the '60-61.

Well, I really like how the 58-9 hood slopes down and would love to use one on my 56. Haven't seen it done yet, so would be unique or at least somewhat unique. Someone probably has done it if the hoods will interchange.

The hinges are totally different on the 58-59 hoods. 55-57 interchange easily but the others.........well...??

Yeah, the hinges are different on the 58-9, mainly the spring placement changed as I recall. either hinge should bolt-on I believe. (if I'm wrong, someone please correct me).

55 - 57 hood and 58 - 59 hood cant be swaped. Would have to be custom made. Since the 58 - 59 has dual headlights, the front of the hood is narrower then the 55 - 57.
