I got a head-ache last time I rode in a vehicle with a gear drive ...

Just messin with ya a bit ... check with Jeg's or Summit ... they run these on "special" from time to time .... and this is one modification that I personally would NOT install used parts.

if you like to hear noises that dont belong there, maybe youll like it.
Since youve never heard one, why would you be interested in trying one, Id suggest getting an oppertunity to hear one, & than imagine what it would sound like all the time, day after day. John

get a pete jackson, I got a summit gear drive and didn't care for instructions on install. They ain't bad to have, just need an exhaust louder than it, then the only one's who hear it are outside the truck

Pete Jackson make both a noisey and a quiet version. I have ran the quiet version in many of my rides over the years, and they are not that bad. Exhaust noise usually drowns it out of the interior, but sounds good outside.

I personally think they sound better with a real lumpy cam than they do with a stock or smooth idle. A smooth idle with a gear drive sounds like their is something wrong under the hood

i dont suggest them.. i mean yea its cool for the first 15 mins.. but after that gets really anoying. Plus its harder to hear where noises are coming from if you have an engine problem.

I have one on mine with a lopey cam, it sounds like a sick supercharger. My personal opinion, its like puttin a rolled up sock in your undies, they are only impressed till they get a look underneath.

I personal like gear drives but the only negative thing i heard about them is that they can walk the cam forward.. Supposivly they take all the abuse and vibration from the crank and can disrupt the valve train..So they say.. Sounds pretty mean to me.. If you want to turn heads.. buy a pete jackson noisy drive..
