205 adapter problems

i work with a guy who has 7 or 8 205 transfercases from different years with different transmissions. i told him i need an adapter for a th350 to a np205 and he said he has 2 or 3 different ones. i need the measurement for the height, distance between the holes that mount it to the crossmember, and the distance between the 4 holes on the transmission side. the picture i showed him has the figure 8 patern on one side and the 4 bolt holes on the other. he needs those measurements because some of the adapters are still hooked to transmissions, some are hooked to transfercases and some are still in the middle of both and he doesnt want to tear one apart if he doesnt have to. im trying to put a 78 205 with a 79 th350

any help would be appreciated

thanks
stan

im not sure of the measurements, but the th350 is different ftom the other three adapters he could have. if its from an auto tranny itll be about 4 inches from front to back, and th350 one will have the 4 bolt pattern, i think th400 ones have a 6 bold pattern. also the th350 uses a 27 spline spud shaft in the middle the th400 either doesn't have one or its 32 spline. another thing, youll want to try and find one fram a later model truck than 67-72s, as these have a seal inside the adapter that is kinda a pain. oh yeah, offroaddesign.com may have some info that could help.

the problem is this guy is a ford guy and got all this stuff at an auction. he has transfer cases and transmissions and he doesnt want to disassemble them all to find the one i need he needs measurements or something so that he can tell what one i need without having to do alot of work for it. hes giving it to me for free so im not going to complain
