My Blazer
I am fairly new to the board. I figered I'd show the world my 69 Blazer. Its almost ready to paint. I have done all the work myself except when a extra hand was needed (thanks Dad). Can't wait to take the wife and 3 kids out.

I know I'm addicted when I look at your pictures and start drooling. Nice blazer, looks as if you have put a lot off work in it.

I am new to the board also. I can't speak for the rest world, but I enjoyed seeing your 69 Blazer.
Enjoy working on it, for me the journey was just as much fun as the destination. I get in my Jimmy with the top off and the CD on and I get a big smile on my face |

Thanks for the comments. I've had this truck for about 6yrs and this board has gave me the motivation to finish it. I'd like to paint it saphire blue or a metalic black. I plan on painting it myself even though I have never painted a car/truck before. As a tool & die maker I know how to look for waves and such so hopefully I can shoot the paint. Oh by the way I plan on painting the top white unless I can find someone near MI that whant to sell or trade me a single wall top. Again thanks people!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Progress
Kuddo's...
Yet another "meet a board member" tale: 850 miles to pick up parts, the rear u-joint went out and had to be changed before we could start the return trip. We did this in swampbuck's garage...let me tell everybody, these people could not have been nicer or helped any more than they did!! The u-joint was totally frozen in and even with their daughter's impending birthday party they drove us to a local machine shop to get thing's taken care of...nice/friendly/helpful people. swampbuck, thanks again to you and your wife! |

single wall vs double wall
What are the differences or advantages of the two tops? I just bought a '71 2wd Blazer. I think it has a double wall top. My old '72 2wd had a chrome strip with bolts, below the back side window. The '71 does not,... makes me think it's a doulbe wall. anybody?
