saftey

Just wanted to tell guys what I did trying to press out my old axle u-joints. I used the handle of an axe to get leverage on the big c-clamp I was using and with a 3/4 drive ratchet on the clamp when the cap "banged" loose I almost knocked my self out when. The u-joint cap went from being all the way in to about 3/4" out at one time. I got myself a big knot on my head and also split my head open, no stitches though. Good thing I had the axe sideways or I would have split my skull open. (I did get both the u-joints out though)

note to self: don't use axe for leverage.

I'll tell you i got a big pickled egg on my forehead.

Good news: front end is complete!

More good news: Just picked up 4 35-12.5R15 BFG all terrains for $200. They came with a 4wd Toyota. Going to put the 35s on the GMC tomorrow.
