Question 20 inch wheels!!!

here's a question...I would like to put 20 inch rims on my 76 stepside, what I would like to see is what some people went through, or maybe picstures of them on the truck. I have heard that the stance is affected a lot, but my truck is lowered, any pics would be greatly appreciated, also anyone who happens to know where I can get the billet (polished) insert for the dash, thanks guys, i really appreciate this site!!!...Scott

It doesn't really matter what size wheels you put on your truck. What matters is what size tires you put on your wheels. What you need to determine is what overall diameter you want to run with the amount of drop you have.

Here is my 77 Cheyenne with 20's-

And here is my 02 GMC 1500 HD with 20's. Big difference huh?

My 77 has BFG G-Force T/A's. They are 245/40/20 in front and 295/40/20 out back. They were kinda pricey, but I wanted a 40 series on front rather than a 35. It helps some, but they are still a bit "firm"....
You can see the profile better in this pic...

Kenduhl on here has the same tires as you and his looks great as well, perfect size for these trucks imo.

I just got all new 275/45's for mine. I couldnt fit the 305/50 up front without putting a hole in the hood.

I have the exact same tires in the exact same size, they definately handle good and ride very nice for a lower profile tire.
And your not kidding about the price...
