My one headlight is brighter than the other, can someone help me????
I noticed that on my 69 chevy truck, that the one headlight is brighter than the other one. I asked someone about it and they said it could be the ground. So I fixed the ground wire, and its still the same. Could the bulb be bad?, or is there another possibility?, thanks in advance..

See if the bright one is a halogen bulb.

check your grounds i had one do that and my groun wire was holding on buy a couple of threads

If its a considerable difference then check your grounds, if its a slight,check the maker of the bulbs, one may be halogen and one not.

I AGREE WITH THE GROUND, AND THE POSSIBILITY OF TWO DIFFERENT HEADLIGHTS. DID YOU REPLACE ONE RECENTLY? THE OLDER ONE CAN/WILL BE A LITTLE DIMMER THAN THE NEW ONE. IT'S BEST TO REPLACE BOTH AT THE SAME TIME.

Headlight fluid may be low on that side. Sorry, couldn't resisit, LOL! It was a chance to make a post on this new board format to see how it works.

If it is not the grounds I would suggest replacing the filiment bearings (or are they bushings??) You may try getting aa headlight rebuild kit from napa (part #1287-848), or if you really get into a bind I do have a matched pair of bulbs I could let go for about a hundred bucks.
