The donor truck
I managed to take five minutes to get some pictures of the donor '86 C10 for restoring the supertruck.
It has no motor, and the cab is pretty rusty. But it has a mint box, or close to mint, a nice cloth bench to replace the tattered vinyl one I have already, and a nice clean chrome bumper to replace the bashed up one on the ST. It was beaten by the previous owner, not I. It also came with a running T350. The whole thing cost me the price of a tow, and I'll make that back at the scrap yard. And here's what I'm really excited about. The new lump. A recently rebuilt 350 on a brand new propane setup. I got that out of another truck that never made it to my yard, thank heavens. I also got the brake booster, a spare T350 and some good light bezels/grille to use while I get mine rechromed.

You might want to cover that seat to keep it nice.

Propane because the motor was already setup for it, and yes, mostly for economic reasons. Probably a good 25% of fleet vehicles up here run on propane, and many gas stations are already setup for it. Now, what to do with that old 305?
As for the seat, you probably can't tell from that pic, but the cab has layer upon layer of wood, cardboard, drywall, you name it keeping the rain off of it. It did get snowed on a couple of times though, so I hope it's not ruined. It's just going to be a temp thing anyway, until I can get hold of some suburban buckets. Never was a bench seat guy.
