PS bracket... uh-oh!
Boy, you step out of the crowd for a bit and look what happens! The board looks good, Josh. I know that probably wasn't an easy conversion.
Here's a quick pic of the problem... What you're looking at is the power steering pump as seen from hanging over the driver's side fender. The circle outlines the bracket and the line points to the problem... it's tearing! I replaced the PS belt a few weeks back and everything was fine. Lately, however, the belt has started slipping when I make a left-hand turn. Naturally, I thought maybe I didn't get the bolt tight. When I popped the hood to remedy the situation, I found that the bracket has actually started to "tear" at the point the line indicates. Anybody got one of these brackets lying around they'd be willing to part with for cheap? If I had a MIG, I'd drill out the end of the tear and spot it until I could find a new one, but unfortunately I don't. PS: Good to be back!
