WTB: 3.1,3.4, or3.8 engine.
Doing a engine conversion on the MG and looking for a good, but cheap v6 for the car. I would prefer a rear drive engine, but will make a front wheel drive one work. I would also like for it to be fuel injected. I need the computer and harness also, but will find elsewgere if necessary. I would like local purchase, but am open to everything. Thanks for the help!

Too bad you are so far away I have a wrecked olds with a 3.1 it only has 45,000 miles on it FWD oh well

I picked up a 88 LeSabre on the weekend that has a 3.8L V6 in it. To bad you're so far away I'd let you have the engine cheap. If it's the original it's a high miler, but runs well. The thing is that I bought the car to get the MPI fuel injection system so I'd want to keep that.
There must be a few cars for a couple of hundred dollar down there you could buy, bound to be cheaper than shipping. Ron

Engines must be much harder to come by in Texas, they're a dime a dozen up here in the rust belt! Here's my two cents worth. I have a car with a 3.4 and a car with a 3.8. Go with the 3.8 if you can find one, they have much more torque than the 3.4. If you really want to do it right, I would go with one of the 4.3L V6's out of a S10 blazer or pickup truck. Edelbrock makes an intake manifold and you could put a 4bbl on it. If you have room in the MG to make it fit (I don't think they're much if any larger than the 3.8) I would go that route. Much better power and a lot less wiring headaches to make it work. I believe I've also seen an MG up here in MI with an aluminum Olds f85 V8 in it, so you should have room for the 4.3. If the work you've done on your truck is any indication you should have a fun and very well engineered MG by the time you're done. I have a '72 Porsche 911T that's patiently awaiting a SBC transplant. I'm shooting for around 350-375 HP, so with an est. dry weight of around 2600lbs it should be really really fast!
