Door weatherstrip quality

I bought door weatherstrips for my Burb a couple years back when they first started to be reproduced. I was pretty disappointed with the quality. The 3rd door still doesn't close properly as the weatherstrip corners are too dense and don't properly compress. I'm wondering if the quality has improved--can anyone that has recently replaced their door weatherstrips let me know what they thought (including Pickup & Blazer)?

I just replaced my pickup door rubbers with new ones from Chevy Duty. They fit well, compress well and even fit better than the originals that were on it. I used the paper clip trick to hold the gaskets in place while the adhesive dried and the corners stayed in place perfectly.

Did you miter the corners of the weather stripping? On the Burb the corners need to be cut to fit properly.

lost wages: They're talking about using those black clips made to hold thick stacks of papers together....to hold on the weatherstriping till the adhesive dries

Neonlarry, are you talking about modifying the pickup door weatherstrip for use in a Burb? I know this is the way it used to be done, but they now make one that is specific for Burbs, with the corners squared off. If you're talking about something different, let me know.
