Hood hinges

I swap out my hood hinges yesterday, because I had aproblem with my hood lining up.After swapping there was a very large gap on the passanger side and the driver side closing down on the top of the fender. So I added spacers for the drivers side and that pushed the hood over, the main problem now is that every time I close the hood the rear of it pops up and I have to go to the back and push each side down any ideas of what I did wrong?

You will need a helper on the adjustment needed. Loosen the hood to fender bolts, both sides. Pick the hood up in front so as to cause the hinges to rotate upward. Have someone retighten the hinges while holding the hood.

Usually it will close with no problems, but the adjustment can cause the hood to move rearward. If there is a small gap between the hood and cowl, I would suggest increasing the gap prior to the adjustment, by moving the hood forward on the hinges.
