Question Did GM make a 1 ton Cheyenne?

There is an add in a local flyer that has a 1 ton 72 Cheyenne flat bed listed for sale. My question is, did they make a 1 ton Cheyenne in 1972?

Heck yes! All trim levels and options were available on series 10-30. I know of a 1 ton rollback here that is a 71 Super.

Everybody needs a 1 ton flatbed, there is a secret society you can join too

Rod and Jeff, Thanks for the replies!

I will try to look at it if it is not sold. We were thinking of making a car hauler
out of it, (trucks too).

Jeff, I really like your truck, it is nice.

There is a '72 1 ton Cheyenne Super still in use as a tow truck here in town. Would guess it is original.

Joesjunk,

I went to look at the truck this afternoon, (which is not too bad). It is a Cheyenne and I am curious about the buckets. The bucket seats themselves are similar to the Blazer seats. They mount to a frame, like the 67 setup and it has a console in the middle mounted to the frame. The console is not as high as a regular console and it looks factory. The seat frame sets on seat brackets similar to a van, but not like the Blazer's brackets.

I am wondering if this is a correct seat or did someone make it up.

Jim

Ebay truck
The VIN# is CCE142S201288
Don't think that's the "correct" serial number for a one ton.

Jim, sent you a PM. I don't have the truck here right now or I would get you a pic of the interior.

Joe,

Thanks for posting the picture. I believe that after hearing from you the seats are from a 67. If anyone is interested in the truck I will check to see if it is still available. I don't have pics but it is a real decent truck. It has a 72 small block 350 engine in it, (glove box lists a 400). It has a TH 400 in it .

The flat bed is really nice. It is a dump bed but the does not work. The cab is real decent, (AC), fenders and hood are good.

Jim
