installing new grille

since it has been about 2 years since i have had a grille on my 69,im not quite sure on how everything went.I know about the bolts on either side that go to the fenders but how does the top attach to the hood release area?Does it go under it or over it?Anybody got a pic or something?Im thinking there was like a slip on nut on one side and the other side is threaded, but i cant remember
