I am looking for a coil 3.73 or 4.10 rear in Texas. One legger or Posi, just looking for better gears. I got a 3.07 right now and it's just not doin it. It'll roast em through third now, but I want better 1/4 times. It's time to go to the track.

i have a rearend in my parts truck, that was swapped out of my truck by the previous owner because the gears were not highway friendly.... sounds like the gears you want... i could take pictures and get numbers off the differential if you want...

havent opened it yet... it is 6 lug... and have no idea what to ask for it.

Get me the numbers off of it and let me know the particulars. I should be able to put my axles in it. Once you get me the numbers I will check it out and let you know.

ill get the numbers tomorrow.... are you running 5 lug axles? im not sure if this is the wide rearend or not but someone told me if its not all you need is a spacer and the 5 lug axles work

Yeah, I have 5 lug. I would rather not use any type of spacer to "make" something work. I'll let you know when we find out what the numbers are on it. While you are at it measure it from backing plate to backing plate for me.

sorry, but today it poured and poured. its really muddy back by the truck. if its any better tomorrow ill go and measure and get the #'s

edit: went out and got numbers : HA 08 19 off top of passenger axle tube

EDIT 2: this is a 3:73 open rear end.
do you still want me to measure backingplate to backing plate?

Hey Dinnut, I just talked to the parts guys at Landmark and they said it should be on the drivers side axle tube and start with a three letter code beginning with T possibly.

hmm... i got these numbers off of the passenger side axle tube and i looked at gmc pauls decoding page and the "ha" code means that it is a 3.73:1 open rear end. is the code you speak of a different code or the same one. as far as i know i got the right code... didnt see one on the drivers side

yes. it is 55" from backing plate to backing plate. make me an offer. heck you can have the whole truck for like 200 if you really want

I just measured mine and it looks like it is 58" from backing plate to backing plate. I am going to have to check on this a bit. Maybe I measured mine wrong, but I don't know. I am dropping the blazer tank Sunday to put a new float on the sender, and I'll check it better then and get back to you.

you could get my rearend machined to be 5 lug. all you do is take it to a machine shop and they can redo the bolt pattern. but thats if you cant find another. i just responded to ur pm about price

The width overall is the problem. If they are different I will have clearance problems with my wheels. Aside form that, I would love to be able to just change out the axles and be done.

Ive got a 5 lug 3.73 minus the backer plates and brakes

I removed it from a truck because i put in a late model 10 bolt posi so i transfered the brakes onto the 10 bolt Im 68 miles east of dallas if your interested.

What is the width, is it a coil rear, and what shape are the gears in? How much are you looking to get from it? If it's the width I need, I am interested.

I want to say its 57 3/4 ill pull a measurement in a bit it is a coil spring rear out of a 72 the gears didnt make any noise and apear to be really tight.

It was in a truck i have and i upgraded for the posi ,
