Dana ???

I am basically ignorant when it comes to 4
WD stuff. How do you identify Dana 4wd components.
I have a 92 Z71 trying to part out and looking for
answers.
Thanks
Don

A '92 Z71 does not have any parts made by Dana corp. Don't know if that answers your question.

dana front and rear axles that are common in light trucks are easy to identify by the shape of the front coverits kind of a sideways pear shape, thats a poor description though. the model number is cast into the lower right rand casting web of the housing close to where the tube enters the housing. our trucks never came with a dana transfer case except in the rarest of occasions.
