Pictures of 14 bolt guts?
I'm looking for pics of 14 bolt guts. Reason is i'm trying to determine if the Powertrax lock right locker is easier to install than a detroit, if anyone knows that answer and can send me to a website to help prove it I would much appreciate it.

Detroit C-Locker is almost 600 dollars for 9.5" not sure about 10.5" lock right is only 350 or so? I know the lock right for the 10.5" is cheaper than the 9.5" and the 10.5" version is only 300 bucks.
I guess for clarification i'm talking about their C-Locker, not the EZ-Locker. When I think about detroit I think about a full-carrier locker.

Ah ha.. So your looking for the semi float 9.5 " 14 bolt pictures??
Am i wrong?? If you are I think I put some up on Blackbird's Axle identification page, but its not a real close up pic.. www.blackbirdscustomtrucks.com 'cause if i'm not mistaken only gov locs, detroit and loc rite fit the 14 bolt full floater. Out of those Detroit is the easiest to setup.. As for the 9.5 semi float you'll have to keep waiting for an answer for that one.

Detroit C-Locker is for axles with c-clips...which would explain why you can find one for the 14 sf (9.5") and couldn't find one for the 14bff (10.5").
The Detroit Locker is about $50 cheaper than a Lock-Right for 14bff applications. If I had a choice between the two, I'd go Detroit all the way. EDIT: If you do have a 14 sf, sell it and buy a ff. Then buy a Detroit. Thats probably not what you want to hear, but it will save you $ in the long run.

I wasn't actually looking at buying one, but anyway, just trying to learn some stuff about those lockers.
I found out that they only make the c-lockers for c-clip axles, that would explain why they make one for the 9.5" and not the 10.5". Thanks for the info guys.

Lock-rite lockers are easier to install in 14b SF axles than detroits. You don't need to remove any gears or anything except the spider gears, which means you don't have to set up your ring gear before you finish with installation. I just found this, its a step by step of installing a lock-rite into a 14b SF http://www.therangerstation.com/Lockers.html
