yeah they make a tool, what has worked for me is using a small flat head screw driver, you need to push that little tab back and pull at the same time, just be careful!!! i put the wipers on my 67 last week and i got one on crooked and yanked it off and the f'er went flying and scuffed my brand new paint job on the hood!

Sure, POC, use a small prybar (the kind carpenters use to remove interior wood trim). Put a piece of rag on the cowl so you don't scratch it. Gently pry up and vola.

Use a pair of channel lock, slip joint pliers. Open the pliers up to the last slip joint, (mainly to get the lower jaw out of your way.) Catch the tip under the edge of the wiper arm and push down on the handle. The size and angle are perfect for removing the most difficult wiper arm. Put a strip of duck tape on the edge to protect your paint.

the tool designed is avail. from Snap-on for about $6 you could make one with a 6" piece of 1" x1/16 flat stock. need to bend very edge about 3/16 & again at about 1" beyond that. it will look like a squared off 'U'. then at about the 3" line do about a 15 deg. bend away from wiper arm. just slip the tip of 'U' under end of arm & gently pry back then lift arm from shaft. does not hurt finish on truck. may want duct tape on arm if they are painted though.
