i need a filler that a 1 1/4 inch hose can clamp too, i got a marine filler but its 1 1/2 inches in diameter, and i dont have enough room to but an adaptor in there, so what im looking for is something that i can bolt to the wood in my bed and the hose can clamp too, if anyone has any good links or something that might work for me let me know please, id be willing to swap for my brand new marine filler and cash or whatever we agree too, thanks

What about something like this? You don't have to remove the gas cap to put gas in.

how about putting the rubber hose in boiling water and streaching it over the filler neck it's only a 1/4 of an inch difference

i used a eat gun to heat my hose up and stretch it over the larger end. took some time but it worked.

It's not the rubber that's hard to stretch, it's the wire reinforcementthat is hard to stretch without ripping a hole in the rubber. I used exhaust reducers welded to the filler neck on mine. Only cost a couple of bucks and worked well. Hope this helps a little.

i did the heat gun thing and stretched it but the angle of my tank spout to the marine filler makes the gas line hose kink, so i had to get some heavier duty hose with wire inside, but there is no way in hell that i can stretch that type of hose,

hey mudder what kinda filler is that and cap? what is the diameter of the hose you run to your gas tank?

Actually You can stretch that hose with an exhaust pipe expander. Watch it carefully to make sure it doesn't split though.

Thats in a guys street rod truck. I think he got it from a place that sells stuff for street rods. I can stop and ask him about it if ya like. I brazed a 90 degree brass fitting on my marine filler. It was just the size you need I think. It did turn the chrome a little blue but if ya watch it you can do it without messing it up.

I can take a pic this weekend when I get my truck here if ya want.

I could not stretch the hose either. I ended up with a filler neck off a late 70's truck with dual tanks. It is on my stepside and I have it clamped under the driver side fender. Works pretty good.
