Largest tire on Stock 4x4?
Do ya'll know the biggest tire size one can run on a 1972 Suburban 4x4 w/ stock suspension ?

I would say if it is not a hard-core tire (swamper), 33x12.50 on an 8 inch rim. Possibly a 10 inch rim depending on backspacing. I ran that size on my old Blazer.

If it's a 1/2 ton, I think 10" wide rims would rub. If it's a 3/4 ton, you might be able to get real 33's or 10" wide rims, or both. Also depends on the wheeling you do. I have 6" and 35's and I cut my fenders and still rub the hell out of them. But with 33x10.50's on 7" wide rims I didn't even come close to rubbing.
