9/16 wheel studs

anyone know where i can get some 9/16-20 wheel studs. unfortunately the only auto parts store anywhere around here is o reilly and they are brain dead. i went in and told them what needed and said they were for the front of a 72 k20 and they said they dont exist , that there is no number for and they cant get and that ill prob have to have them custom made. needless to say i left. i know for a fact that it cant be that hard to find but now looks like gonna have to find online or i guess ill have to wait till make a trip to st louis to a real auto parts store. id like some with a long knurl and that measure somewhere around an 1 1/2" from the back to start of the threads and somewhere around 3" for total length. went to another parts store like 60 miles away today and they told me that dont have either that have to go to arp fasteners but they dont carry either i just checked there. my truck must be rarest truck in the world cus i cant ever find anything for this piece @#$% lol

I'm doing a resto right now on a 72 3/4 ton and I went to my local o'reilly's and they had them. The part numbers are DOR-610-190 for the front and DOR-610-180 for the rear. Maybe you need to come on down to Owensville and get your parts. Sounds like they don't train there guys very well. They have a book that tells them every stud made and it's even actual size in the book so they can compare.

You swapped the numbers-- the fronts are the 610-180 they fit from 71 to 91 pickups and suburbans. The rear are the 610-190 and they fit only 71-72 for the dana 60, these are the ones that may be a little difficult to obtain.

The number for the store in Owensville is 573 437 7800........ If ya want I can pick them up and bring them to Fenton for ya. I remember getting my lugs and they were quiet costly IMO. Let me know if ya need my number.

heres an update for anyone doing the blackbird rear disc brake kit on an older eaton. you have to drill out the 1/2" wheel stud holes in the hub to 9/16" and i found the studs required finally. the other part #'s you guys mentioned are too short for this application. the part number for this application that works are DOR-610-194. they have a 3/4" of knurl where most have 1/2" knurl i got one side together and going to work great. maybe this will save someone the problems i ran into.

[QUOTE=Budweis]heres an update for anyone doing the blackbird rear disc brake kit on an older eaton. QUOTE]

We knew there where some out there but, your eaton was the first one we have ever dealt with that had the smaller lug studs.

I didn't know they made a 1/2 lug stud.. I thought they were all 9/16..

What did that rear come out of??
I am going to update our website to mention the difference.
Even the other rear disc brake companies don't even mention the difference.
I called TSM to see if they did.. They had no idea..

I am very glad it is all working out for you.

I believe the 1970 trucks (3/4 ton) all had 1/2" studs 2wd or 4wd. It's an odd ball year. My 70 has 1/2" studs my 71 has 9/16" studs.

Fixed Our site to mention the difference, and the need to drill out the hub to put 9/16 lug studs in for this kit to be a direct bolt on..

You learn something new everyday..
