Yes, I would say gears are your next purchase!
Did you have fun though? Drag racing is fun as hell, especially when you can participate. Were the posted RT's red lights?

VHT trackbite wouldnt hurt those tires
Might want to try it and see if it helps, if you are spinning alot. What ratio gear are you wanting to run?

i'm not spinning a lot. its just that with my 2500 stall and big upper RPM cam, it doesnt like the lower end.
i'm wanting to put 3.73's in it. |

3.73 gear would do you a big favor trust me I know. I used to have 3.08 in my truck and went too 3.73 and I'll tell you this much it maid a dramatic difference on the way the truck comes off the line.

don't worry it will get way better once you get everything ironed out. how are you racing without a tach? you need to know where to shift? are you just letting it hift itself?

OC, DUDE! You're trapping LESS than Gary, yet your motor is DEFINATELY hotter..WTF?? Are you babying that thing off the line because you don't want to go up in smoke? You SHOULD be trapping 95mph EASILY... |

Where is the cam designed to start making power? I would try tach'ing it up higher into the powerband (closer to the cams operating range) and launching it from there. Play around with the launch RPMs and see what the truck likes.

LMAO!!! You still wanna run me bish!! All that smack and my 2000 GAGT would run dead with you lol. j/k
You need tuned something horrible. man...I ran door to door with my T/A with my old man driving it up till the top of 3rd gear. that car runs 13.3's on a 110 degree day with horrible clutch. So Im guessing mid to low 14's for my truck with its crappy carb..your making much more hp than me and your mph is way down from where it should be. I was thinking 94-98 mph honestly
