77 c10 restoration project, need help!!!!
i am currently in the process of restoring my 1977 chevy c10 SWB 3 spd. standard w/ 250 I6. im primering the truck and i was wondering what i should do about all the rusting body parts, it was an old navy truck and was seriously exposed to the sea water and the truck has sooo much bondo on it, that i dont know what to do, should i just try to cover the spots up or should i find a wrecked model that has good parts that would fit mine? i recently sanded all the old paint off the truck and i found out that the entire thing is almost falling apart, what should i do?? when i took the ruffneck rearbumper off, i noticed that the entire exhaust assembly was hanging like a swing, it moves way too freely and that its all rusted to hell and back. i used to have a aftermarket cd player in the truck but it was stolen and now i cant seem to find any replacement bezels for the instrument panel, i hope to find a chrome looking one, if anyone out there has any advice on what i should do about the current problems, then please, help me, my email is south_pole_04@yahoo.com
p.s. i will post up some pictures later on and then let you guys spot the problems, there are just sooo many, i dont know what to do. this is my first vehicle andi want it to be cool so i can show it off when i drive it to work and school and stuff like that, i also cannot find a speaker box for 2 10 inch woofers to go behind the seat, if anyone can help me, plz email me thanks, 79scottsdale |

It sounds like you need to start over. If you are working on a limited budget, you would be better off trying to sell that truck and get one with less rust. It's a major job even if you know what your doing....
