New Chrome Air Cleaner...A/C question
I purchased a new chrome air cleaner for my 85, 350.... I have A/C.... There where two hoses attached to the old stock air cleaner, that i dont know what to do with? one runs into the carb, and the other goes from the snorkel to the air cleaner or something like that.. Inside the old air cleaner is a little green plastic thingy that says A/C on it... What do i need to do?

One hose, the one going to the carb is a vacuum hose to open the flap inside the snorkel. It ties into the green switch inside the air cleaner and from the switch to the flap. All this is for is cold temp running. When you first start the truck, the temp switch senses it's cold air and closes the flap lettting any air going to the carb come from the exhaust. After the engine warms up, vacuum will get to the flap and open it so you get fresh air instead of the heated air from the exhaust.
In other words, put a cap on the port the vacuum hose is hooked to on the carb.
