Talking Is this a beautiful sight, or what??!!

The FedEx truck showed up at work today!! WOW, do I have a lot of work ahead of me or what?

Now I have to put them all back in their boxes, and put it in the other garage so I can start the teardown of the 68, and start shortening the other frame for the short bed conversion.

How are the bedsides? Most importantly around the tailgate area and where the back of the cab area is.

My fenders from goodmark where nice but the line that meets the hood line turned in as it got closer to the grill area.

The only thing I saw other then some runs in the primer is a little ding under the pass door handle.

I haven't given that good of a look-over yet, just mainly for damage. But from the initial appearance, they all look real good!

I'd like to think that!! Truth is, my insurance company had me a check 4 days after the accident! Got the check last Thursday. I ordered all the parts from Carolina Classic Trucks Tuesday morning aftr the check cleared in to my account, and the parts arrived today.

Gonna work on her for a while tonight getting things ready to come apart, then put in a good day's work on Sunday to get as much off as possible. Hope to have it down to a bare cab, just enought that i can drive it in and out of the shop.

Hmm, reminds me a little of the TV show Trucks, but I have a feeling we will get to see a finished project here, ah, still waiting to see the Trucks finished project!

Can't wait to hear how fit quality is - you are definitely gonna be busy.

From Ryan at Carolina Classic Trucks http://www.carolinaclassictrucks.com/

He had the best price overall on all Goodmark metal. For example, most places sell the bedsides for anywhere from $400 to $450, CCT sells them for $389 and they are drop shipped from Goodmark. I think the doors were $245. Ryan was very easy to work and sent prompt emails with my receipt and the tracking number too. A good guy to talk to.

Yukon Jack - I too hope to have this one done WAAAAAAY before Project Copperhead is ever done!

Gonna do some serious disassembly tomorrow! The air tools are practicly jumping out of the tol box as we speak!

Sure, just try to look past the clutter. I have a pile of parts in the middle of the floor since I started the teardown yesterday:

Well, my son was chasing him around the back field with a stick. The deer must have seen the old pickup door I have on that wall outside the shop, and probably thought he could jump through the rolled down window and get away from my stick-swinging son. I guess when he tried to jump through, he hit the wall, went through, and got stuck right there!! Anyhow, he doesn't move much anymore, or say much for that matter. He doesn't seem to mind it either when I hang a hat from his antlers.
