8 track

Your 8 track player is originaly from Chevrolet's car line.
Chevy & GMC trucks used the same unit but with one key difference: on the door was " GM " not the Chevy bowtie. This way it was correct in Chevy or GMC trucks. If you put a GM door on it you have gold!

Gold?

I like the sounds of that. Since there were more chevs than GMC's sold that should make it in more demand now. GMC version would be rarer but many could use this in their Chevys. With the interest this is bringing it sould be fun to watch. Wish me luck.

Any offers

Anyone have an offer on this before I relist it? I would also consider fair trade for other option(s) or clean parts.

I think he meant that if an 8 track came in a truck, it had "GM" on the door, regardless of whether or not the truck was a Chevy or GMC. The bowtie door means that it came from a chevy car of the same era. At least I think so? I've never seen one with a bowtie door before.
