Vent window glass repair?
Can anyone tell me how to remove and replace the vent window glass from the frame? Also do you glue it back in or what holds in there? Broke the bottom stud while replacing the rubber, so I need to remove the glass and put it in a spare frame I have. One is tinted and one is not so I need to change the glass. Thanks, Gord

Take a small screwdriver and insert edgewise at the top between the glass and frame and gently start working in down down and prying as you go. Once you get it loose do the same at the bottom. once it starts coming loose from the frame you can wiggle it by hand while you pull and it will come free. If you are lucky the glass setting tape in the glass can be reused with a dab of sealer, if not most of the vendors should be able to fix you up with glass setting tape or go to a glass shop. Bad luck on the stud, you will need the correct rivits and rivit tool now. I just did this job on my 72 a few days ago.
Good luck, Mike |

Do you need the tinted glass? I have one from a spare I just used to fix the sound problem around my vent.
