Our local news station (13WMAZ) did a story on a little girl in need and I felt I had to share it with you:

An eight year old Central Georgia boy celebrated his birthday Sunday without all the presents he'd usually get, and it was completely by his own choice. For his birthday, all Joseph Ferraris wanted was to help a friend. On his birthday, he wanted to be the one doing the giving.
Ferraris say his closets already full of toys, that's why he knew he could forego the presents this year and give a present to someone else.

"She needs help so she can walk and see better. She's almost blind."
Ferraris is talking about little eight year old Caitlyn Bibb. She was diagnosed with mitochondrial myopathy five years ago. Basically that means her body does not produce enough oxygen to function like a normal body does, so her cells are in a crisis for oxygen. When she was diagnosed, doctor's told her parents her prognosis was death. Even without taking her life, Caitlyn's disease takes the life out of living.

" When we go to the park or wherever, she's the little girl that's always sitting on the sideline, very seldom does she have little kids to play with."
But Joseph Ferraris won't sit on the sidelines, and he doesn't want that for his friend either. Caitlyn's parents find his generosity overwhelming.

"It's just the fact that this little boy wanted to be a part of our hopes and our dreams of maybe one day Caitlyn can walk into his house instead of being carried into his house."
Joseph's birthday party raised $250 Sunday to help pay for Caitlyn's treatment.

ITS SAD THAT SOMEONE THAT YOUNG AND PRECIUOS HAS TO EXPERIENCE A TROUBLESOME TIME LIKE THIS.WHEN SOMEBODY THAT JUST DONT CARE ABOUT LIFE NEVER GOES THROUGH ANY COMPLICATIONS.I KNOW THATS PART OF LIFE BUT IT JUST DOESNT SEEM FAIR.KINDA MAKES A PERSON MAD DOESNT IT.AND AT THE SAME TIME LEAVES YOU WONDERING WHY.
