Question Beat by Mustang Time to hook up the NOS?

Man I took my Blazer out for the first time raced it got beat by a Mustang, It was a 90 something, pushing around 350hp and low geared posi, with traction bars, and a Awsome tranny, and Street Drags.

But I need to do something to make my blazer faster, maybe I need to hook my bottle back up and buy a new fuel pump, I haven't used NOS because of low fuel pressure, and it's still smoking, going to have a leak down/compression test done. Also maybe Street legal drags.

?????? Any ideas/comments?? How can I pull some lower ETs???

that nos is going to eat your trannie, hmm. how many shots. how bout a blower instead? a small one. how worried are you about your power, also is you blazer rear end coils? if so you can buy airbag to put in the coils, there not pricey. so when you take off it doesnt lag and gets up a little quicker. new tires, might help, how wide are the tires your running?

You're blazers heavier than hell compared to that mustang. Any way you could put it on a diet? Things to take out, cut out or remove? Easier and cheaper than making horsepower.

Question

I allready have NOS 125 shot, I just don't run it, cause of the low fule pressure. But I have 295-50-15 out back, yes trailing arms, it's a factory 2wd. Some drag radials would help out big time.

But the weight is what's killing me, if it where summer I'd have the top off, and the rear seat and speakers out if I were racing serious, but I really need a fiber glass front clip. Say how much lighter is a Fiber glass cowl hood than stock one??

I'm also thinking about a one piece fiber glass flip down kit??? Any ideas??

Yeah I've seen that 3/4 ton 4X4 in a magazine awhile back pretty impresive for a beast! LOL but that's what you can expect out of a high horse, truck with it in AWD. remember the new Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII will be out next year pushing 0-62mph in 4.8 seconds! STOCK. unreal. AWD is the only way to race street legal class, the Syclone changed my outlook on racing forever. Now it's all I think about.
