Blower Motor?

If I install a new blower motor, will it increase the air output for the A/C? It just doesn't seem like it is blowing hard enough, even on high. I have to turn it to Max to really feel some air.

Check to see if there is not somethig inside a c box blocking air flow you can take motor back out and stick you hand in there and check. this sounds funny but if your hand to big if you have kids tell one to reach in and see. sounds like in plugged in there and not enought air getting throught

Dunno about the '87 model...but there were 2 blower motors avaialable for the '71. The one for air cond would put out about twice the volume...

might check the switch itself, mine has gone out twice. right now it has off and HIGH... no in the middle.

Im with Jon check/replace the switch.
Mine did the same thing, only had off and high (low and med, were like nothing) and high wasnt as high as high should have been. I ended up replacing the entire heater control panel because mine was modified for aftermarket a/c. When I put the new heater control in it came with a new switch and the heater blower motor worked much better.

try taking a wire from the battery to the blower, to see exactly how hard it should blow. the turn it on at the switch and see...
