Thumbs up newone

Hey, just saying im a new around here. I have an 1983 Chevrolet long box 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive, red and white factory paint and red interior with plastic parts painted black. THe engine is a 454 bored .030 over to a 460, 8.6:1 compression ratio with stock heads, Wieand Stealth intake, Quadrajet 700 cfm, and a crane cam, specs out at:
Lift: Opens Closes ADV Duration
Intake 34 BTDC 72 ABDC 286 °
Exhaust 83 BBDC 33 ATDC 296 °
with headers, 1 3/4 primary into a 3inch collector, custom made dual exhaust with flowmaster mufflers that i bought at a swap meet for 5 bucks. The engine also has a serpitine blet drive off of my brothers 1988 chevrolet, no V-belts for me.
THe transmission is an 1992 camero 700R4/4L60 with a 2000 stall tq, that can live behind it thanks to some extrem heavy duty parts.
THe rear end is out of a 1985 Ford 1/2 ton, with 31 spline TRUCK axles, with 3.88 gears and a detroit locker, if you are going to get a ford 9 get a truck housing, its a hell of alot strong and the axles are huge.
I was able to use a one pice aluminum drive shaft off my brothers truck.
RIght now the truck is just sorta thrown together so I can have something to drive to and from school. THe rear rims are 15X10s with 15X8s on front, 2 differnt sets but it gets the job done. Right now im in the proses of putting in 1 or 2 20 gallon tanks, I can't decided wich and after that im going install my stero for when listening to that 460 gets a little anoying. I do have the fastet vehicle at my school with plans for larger rims, a 4.11 and more power, want it to run in the 13s, probally will once I get my traction problems sorted out. The easyest thing seems to be to find a late 60s chevy 1/2 ton that was coils on the rear and put that supension the truck and use coil overs and a custom panhard bar. The truck ain't to pretty but it halls. WIll post pics once the scanner works or we get a digital camera, im hoping the later.
THanks y'all
