C/10 vs CST/10 vs Custom/10????

I have a 1969 custom/10 that has A/C, PS, 350/350. I want to add tilt wheel, bucket seats, and a cargo light........or at least all the options available in 1969.
I think I remember reading that the CST/10 stands for custom sport truck and it had bucket seats in 69.
Can anyone tell me what some of the major options were for the three different models??? I need to order my new fender emblems and want to make sure I get the right ones for all the options before I finish my body work.

the cst option had:
-right hand sunshade
-blazers had bucket seats and console
-bright control knob and pedal trim
-bright windsheild, bodyside, tailgate, taillight, and back-up light moldings
-bright fuel filler cap
-side marker reflectors
-dual horns
-blazers had bright t-case lever

custom trucks all depend on the option catagory there was custom cab, custom deluxe, custom comfort, and as i recall a custom appearance option. i think most options where available on the three models as special order but the options in the packages may vary. my gmc has the custon comfort option but was never equiped with the headliner.

Thanks. Did the 69 have a cargo light? Also sound like the custom/10 did not have bucket seats......correct?

I have a 72 Custom Deluxe. It has A/C, tilt, Tach dash, full body trim (upper, lower, tailgate, windshield, marker lights, sport mirrors, sport bumper), the lower trim is woodgrain. It also has the bright knobs inside, and pedal trim, and cloth seat inserts. It is all stock and nicely loaded, and is just a custom deluxe. I think that you will find all kinds of trucks with special order options.

I believe that bucket seats were optional on any trim level. I just sold a 67 GMC that was plain with almost no options, but it had the original 67/68 style buckets in it.

Trim levels were just that, trim levels. They did not contain any special "rare" options, such as buckets (except for '67 CST trucks, according to factory literature they had the sought after triple bucket as standard). They did have small details, like Cheyenne Supers have a blingin' chrome tailgate handle cover whereas Cheyenne's didn't.

For a few examples of wackiness, you could order a completely decked out '72 Cheyenne Super short fleet...two tone paint, upper & lower trim, bright mouldings, sport mirrors, a/c, buckets, tilt, tach, am/fm, slider, blaah blah blah...with the 250 6 cyl engine (and 4 speed, to have the tilt...you could have all the above w/o tilt and have 3 on the tree). I bet there weren't many ordered this way (if any at all), but it COULD happen. Conversely, you could also have a plain jane C/10 with the only option being a big block.

Good info. So if I am understanding correctly, I could add style mirrors, bucket seats, tilt wheel, and cargo light and it wouldn't be any big deal out there when an expert walked by and said........."hey....look at the 69 with bucket seats and cargo light............ha.......they did not come with that".
Based on what I understand the expert could be wrong.........if Papa wanted to order a super nice truck in 1969.

Tilt wheel started in`69.Buckets were an option in itself,likeA/C,Tilt,engines/trans,guages,etc.I had a`68 CST 6`Fleetside w/396,3spd.,manual steering, tach, power brakes, posi, and radio delete. In fact,it was one of two identical trucks ordered by two brothers. You could order what you wanted, starting with the basic trim levels.Like a Wheatland Yellow/Med.Olive Poly 2-tone w/Green vinyl trim int.,6cyl/auto,A/C,P/S,P/B,4.11posi in a base C/10 and order chrome full wheel covers & chrome bumpers w/bumper gaurds, white walls, and full cushion foam in the seat.
