Push rods for Vortecs
Went to the local parts store to get new push rods for the Vortec install.
When i tried to explain to the kid behind the counter that its a 70 GMC but it will have new Vortec heads he stared at me with his mouth slack and a little drool on his chin. He gave me 4 options of push rods with differant lengths. Then I stood there slack jawed and drool on my chin. Does anyone know the correct push rods to use in this swap?

You do not need to use different pushrods for the Vortecs. You need guided rockers, but the pushrods are the same as any other stock SBC application.

...the different lenghths i'm guessing was for rollers...when i tore my 88 305 apart it had shorter than the norm push rods and a factory roller cam...i dont know about 4 different ones though

Just tell him it's a stock '70 model 350 & the drooling should stop.
