Need help tuning Fast idle and Choke on Edelbrock Performer Q-Jet

I had my carb all nice and tuned when I bought it in November, and now that is was getting summer here in AZ, I had to swap out the 185 degree T-stat for a 160 degree T-stat. This bovious is gonna mess up the choke and fast idle. But how do you adjust it. The fast idel disengages, but not all the way, it need to go about another 1/8". And if the choke is adjusted, does that change the adjustment on the fast idle cam?

Thanks for any info.

You adjust the choke application by bending the link that connects the electric module to the choke shaft. Then you loosen and rotate the choke housing to adjust the time for that the choke takes to come off after starting.

If your choke never fully opens, you probably need to bend the link a little, It should be done while the engine is cold. Bend the link so the choke plate closes just barely to the fully closed position.

by changing the thermostat there should be no need to change your carb in fact the difference in thermos will probably only affect the engine temp for 10minutes or so on initial startup
