Difference between Tilt column out of a Van
What is the difference, if any, between a tilt column out of a 70s van and a 70s truck? They look the same to me, but I read somewhere a van column had to be cut.
Thanks Bass

The van column has a longer shaft, so the shaft between the tilt and the steering box needs to be "crushed." This is an easy mod. The neutral safety switch on the van column needs to be moved as well but this is not tough. The last thing you will have to do is get an adapter for the wiring harness (a few do not need this). Most vans have the flat wiring plug while the trucks have the curved wiring plug.
