Please Help

I have a strange problem with my truck. If I drive it for a little while, and i shut it off for a few minutes, it has a hard time firing back up again. for example, i drove to the gas station (10 min away) and i filled it up and when i got back in to start it, it just sat there cranking and cranking with the occasional fire. it cranks to the point where its starting to wear down the battery, and then finally it will fire up. it almost seems as if its not getting fuel. it has happened a couple of times, but doesnt happen every time. it also diesels a little bit every once in a while so im thinking maybe it has something to do with the air/fuel mixture, but i dont know. its a bone stock 305, not one modification to the motor. thanks for your help

maybe when it diesels it is flooding the engine? i dont know, my truck does this too if i drive it hard then shut it off, with out a cool down...

Sounds like timing to me. Check your timing to see if its correct.
Hard starts after driving and dieseling when shutdown are typical signs of bad timing.
Dieseling can also occur if your idle speed is too high, when checking your timing be sure to check your idle speed.
