Those of you who have bag's or a 6-8'' rear drop do your inner bed wheel well's still fit???? I was gonna mini tub the truck using stock well's but I am looking ahead to bag's and wondering if the are gonna rub on a wheel from 17'' to 20'' need some feedback on this thank's guy's ....If you fabbed or made the stocke well's work pic's would be great...

If the rear tire is over 28" tall, then @ 8" drop you will more than likely rub the top of the tubs. With 295/40/20's on 20x10's w/@ least 8" drop, mine rubbed & required raising the floor/tubs to clear.

Notice the bedfloor where it meets the bedside. It's now 3" above the lip of the bedside.

You can see the tops of the tubs are now even w/the factory body line of the inner bedside. It's not really noticeable (just look @ a factory bed to see the 3" difference).

Here's another angle that shows both the top & bottom against the factory bodyline of the inner bedside. My plan was to use a spray in bedliner to help 'hide' the original lower bodyline. But, I'm kinda' anal so I might just section the inner bedside altogether to keep the lines as GM intended . . .... minus 3".

That's is just what i was looking for that is some killer work you do... I am just guessing that you raised the frame mout's up to meet the new floor or is the truck body dropped???

on a 67-72 shortbox fleetside what would be the widest tire you could go with?, saying you drop it roughly 4 inchs from stock, using whatever back spacing required..I know a 295 fits know problem.

If you widen the tubs, 15x14's will fit w/31x18.5" wide Mickey t's w/o rubbing the frame (for comparison, 295's are about 11-12"). Once upon a time that's what was hidden under those green wheeltubs in the pics.

Oh ok! yeah cause my dad had 16.50' hoosiers on his truck, they didn't come close to rubbing the frame at all. I was just curious without tubbing it out,just a stock fleetside box, what size tire you figure would fit?, like 305 or maybe a 325?

Lowered 4"? . . ..... 325mm max on a 10" wheel. My guess is that would still want to buzz the outer wheel well lip.

406 SBC, I had a '69 fleet side that was lowered roughly 4 inches and I was running a 305 without rubbing. I don't remember if the rims were 10s or 12s (I am thinking 10s for some reason).
