so who makes a billet grill insert for 67-68?

Looks like YOU do! I have been thinking the same thing, may need to get another billit grill and cut it down. I also have thought about buying 1/8" x 1/2" SS flat bar and using that instead of aluminum to fab up a grill insert. Just tack weld pieces of the flat bar to a bracket that screws to the back of the grill. Shouldn't be too tough.

thread might be kinda old, but, I saw one on impala bob's website just now, for $300, no pics tho so I dont know if its a phantom like that last pic above this post, or if its a pair of inserts 03-04 style like I'm looking for

You could probably pick up a phantom grill for the 84-87 era truck for cheap and cut it to fit ...

I do remember about a year ago I had a link to a place that custom made billet grills.. and they had a picture of a "69" (was a 67 or 68) c10 with a billet grill EXACTLY like I wanted, I had an email from em too sayin they'd do itfor bout $600 (ouch.. but worth it it was amazing!) but alas.. HD crashes have ravaged my computer for the past 3/4 of a year so I've lost 4 HDs in this 1 machine.. thank goodness for workstations, my losses were minnimal.. favorites, email, you know.. important stuff all the same tho

otherwise I'd be helping out myself, yall, and this company that made this thing right now lol

Here is one that makes "aluminum linear bar grilles are custom manufactured to your exact specifications". But there is nothing automotive related on the website, it's more like AC grilles and such, but who knows.

that doesn't look like it.. the site I remember was kinda tacky to be honest, wasn't exactly top end web design, had some waky stuff on it like an 80s conversion van with 8 headlights, had this mis-labled C10... it was red, had some 71-72s on there with their ever so popular billet grills

it was a specially designed vehicle billet grill company, I remember I also emailed them at the time about hjaving a vertical billet made for my old f*rd a year or 2 before I decided to get rid of that and return to my bowtie roots.

actually you know what, it may bein archive, I remember a post about this from a few years ago, there was an image attached of a black 67/68 c10 with a billet grill, it lookd great

the only question I have is.. if I get the billet grill like I want, how do I open the hood?
